Jessica Simpson's mother Tina has filed for divorce from Jessica's dad Joe.

Tina filed the papers in Texas last month, claiming, "The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities."

Tina and Joe were married in 1978. They have no minor children.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Tina claims she has separate property from Joe and wants to keep it. It's unclear what that property is.

In the county where Tina filed, there are specific rules about how divorcing spouses have to behave toward each other during proceedings -- they can't curse at each other, harass each other over the phone, or physically attack each other ... basically they HAVE to act like civilized adults.

If one spouse violates the rules, they could be found in contempt of court.

Joe filed a response to Tina's divorce petition days later, insisting Tina get nothing from the split.

Joe and Tina both played a pivotal role in turning their daughters Jessica and Ashlee into pop superstars.

Kim Kardashian's Birthday Surprise from Kanye West

Kim Kardashian celebrated her 32nd birthday in style -- and it was all thanks to boyfriend Kanye West.

"Whisked away for a birthday surprise," the reality star tweeted on Friday afternoon ... hours before touching down in Italy with Kanye by her side.

The two were spotted last night in Venice, where they took a romantic stroll together through the Canals.

Kanye even bought Kim a rose from a vendor on the streets after reportedly going to dinner at The Grand Canal Restaurant.

No surprise here, but Kim is really enjoying herself -- tweeting "Italy is so beautiful! Best Birthday ever!!!"

Nike has ended its contract with Lance Armstrong -- claiming the athlete "misled" the company amid allegations of doping.

"Due to the seemingly insurmountable evidence that Lance Armstrong participated in doping and misled Nike for more than a decade, it is with great sadness that we have terminated our contract with him," the company says.

Armstrong also announced he will step down as chairman of the Livestrong cancer-fighting charity as of this morning. Nike says they will continue to support the organization.

"To spare the foundation any negative effects as a result of controversy surrounding my cycling career, I will conclude my chairmanship," Armstrong says in a statement.

The move comes a week after the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency released a report detailing Armstrong's direct involvement in what it called "the most sophisticated, professionalized and successful doping program that sport has ever seen."

As we previously reported, Lance has been banned from cycling for life ... but he still denies any wrongdoing.

Camden Lachey is only a month old, but Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo's son is already a football fanatic!

The 98 Degrees singer shared a new photo of him and his newborn son on Tide's Facebook page as part of a new promotional campaign ... showing the proud papa kissing the cute kid on his head while wearing matching Cincinnati Bengals jerseys.

Nick had originally liked the name "Colin," but when Vanessa nixed they started looking for another "C" name.

He tells PEOPLE they came up with the name after visiting Minnillo's obstetrician's office on Camden Dr.

“We didn’t really know anyone else named Camden. It was such a neat name," he says. "We fell in love with it and decided on it five or six months ago.”

Selena Gomez is following in her boyfriend Justin Bieber's footsteps ... and added another tattoo to her body!

While Bieber has at least 7 tatts (so far!), Selena got her second over the weekend at Bang Bang Tattoos in New York City.

So ... what is it?

The 20-year-old singer got LXXVI on the back of her neck, the Roman numerals for 76.

According to the tattoo artist, "The tattoo was a tribute to a family member who she said means a lot to her."

Bang Bang adds, "Selena was nervous it might have been painful, so she held her best friend's hand the whole time. But she did a great job."
