Chris Brown, Frank Ocean

Things haven't exactly been copacetic between Chris Brown and Frank Ocean.

In case you don't remember, these two artists have publicly traded blows via Twitter, making it very clear that there was tension between them. But when Ocean came out as a gay man, Brown remained silent.

Until now.

But they're not the fighting words that you might be used to hearing (or reading) from the singer.

"My Opinion on the whole Frank Ocean subject is ......... Love who u wanna love. It's ur decision. People stop searching for BS," Brown tweeted earlier today.

The "BS" Breezy is referring to is apparently a report that he told paparazzi in France, "Man, no homo," when asked about Ocean coming out. While the phrase itself is a debate for another time, it has gained popularity in hip-hop culture as something to say when, after giving props to another man, a guy wants to assure that what he said did not have any homosexual connotation.

And though Brown can't say he's never uttered, or at least written, a homophobic slur, he insisted via Twitter that he wasn't trying to offend the Odd Future member.

Ocean has not responded to reports of Brown's alleged diss or his explanatory tweet.

You know you're rich when ... you spend $500,000 to upgrade 160 "X Factor" contestants to a "nicer" hotel simply because you felt like it -- like Simon Cowell just did.

It all went down in Miami ... where the 160 wannabes who made it past the audition rounds are competing for 32 coveted spots.

Sources tell us ... Cowell -- who created the show -- decided he wanted to reward the contestants for making it this far ... and didn't want them slumming in a "regular" hotel.

So he upgraded ALL of the contestants to the exclusive Mondrian Miami South Beach Hotel ... and promised to cover everyone's meals during the audition process.

We're told Simon's expecting the total bill to run somewhere in the $500k range ... which would probably sting ... if he wasn't a gazillionaire.

Russell Brand is opening up more than ever about his divorce from Katy Perry -- and confirming his new relationship with another celebrity's sister.

"[Before] we got married, I just thought, ‘I’ve got to marry her, I just love her so much.’" Brand told Howard Stern this morning of his relationship with Katy. "And then we got married and I thought, ‘Okay, this isn’t really working out.’”

But, as he's said before, there's absolutely no ill will there between the former lovebirds.

"It was a lovely relationship ... it mostly didn't work for practical reasons ... We did work it out, she's happy, I'm happy," he added (via MTV).

And helping making him happy these days: New girlfriend Isabella Bewster.

Isabella is the sister of "Dallas" and "Fast and the Furious" star Jordana Brewster and the two have been spotted all over L.A. together recently.

"Some things in the newspaper aren't true ... that's true, actually," he said of reports he and Isabella are together -- adding that he's "just kind of enjoying the freedom" of being single.

He also added someone -- probably Isabella -- was with him in bed during the radio interview.

As for why he walked away from the marriage without trying to claim half of the $44 million Perry earned while they were together, he says "I've got a good job. I'm not into taking money from women."

Miley Cyrus is running out of real estate on her body for tattoos!

The 19-year-old star showed off some brand new body art yesterday in Los Angeles -- showing off the ink (and her tight tummy) after leaving a pilates class.

So, what's it say?

The text on her forearm is a quote from a 1910 President Theodore Roosevelt speech-- and reads “So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat.”

The tattoo is only one of many Miley has on her body. She also has "VIIXCI" on her right elbow, a heart and evil eye symbol on her fingers and a large dreamcatcher on her rib cage.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez went out TOGETHER in L.A. last night

In an effort to prove all is well in their relationship, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez went out TOGETHER in L.A. last night ... and made sure the cameras caught them holding hands.

As TMZ reported, the relationship has been on the rocks ... with the two breaking up multiple times in the last few months.

But last night, it appeared things were back on ... when Biebs and Gomez hit up the Pink Pepper restaurant in Hollywood for a romantic dinner date.

When asked about the status of their relationship, Bieber told the photogs, "What does it look like?"

Looks like a bunch of teenage girls are gonna be heartbroken again ... for now.

Taylor Swift might have a new love story in the works ... 'cause the country superstar spent a romantic 4th of July on the beach with Arnold Schwarzenegger's son.

22-year-old Taylor and 18-year-old Patrick Schwarzenegger were spotted in Massachusetts together ... laughing ... and at one point, taking a private stroll along the beach.

We're told the two were also seen with several members of the Kennedy family.

Unclear if the two are officially dating -- but Taylor seems to have a thing for famous dudes ... she's been romantically linked to John Mayer, Joe Jonas and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Andy Griffith
Dead at 86

R.I.P.

Andy Griffith has died.

8:15 AM -- Ron Howard ‏just went to Twitter to post a message about his friend Andy Griffith ... writing, "His pursuit of excellence and the joy he took in creating served generations & shaped my life I'm forever grateful RIP Andy."

Andy Griffith, an icon of TV, has died ... this according to Andy's close friend, former UNC President Bill Friday.

Griffith, who became famous for "The Andy Griffith Show," passed away at his home in Manteo, North Carolina this morning.

Friday broke the news to WITN News in North Carolina.

In addition to starring in his show and the subsequent "Mayberry R.F.D.," Griffith was a Grammy award-winning southern gospel singer. Of course, Griffith also starred in the long-running series, "Matlock" and often made guest appearances in other shows, including "Dawson's Creek."

There's a famous statue of Andy and Opie -- played by Ron Howard -- in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Griffith was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by George W. Bush in 2005.
